The Nintendo Switch remains the top contender in the Japanese market, selling nearly 92,000 units in the last week of November. This positions them strongly for another successful holiday season. On the other hand, the PlayStation 5 sold over 38,000 units, with the highly anticipated Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D selling over 42,000 additional physical copies, surpassing a total of 960,000 units sold.
Sales Update
Super Mario Party Jamboree has surpassed the half a million mark in sales, while Animal Crossing: New Horizons is nearing 8 million physical units sold. The Switch OLED Model leads in console sales with over 56,000 units sold, followed by PlayStation 5 and Switch Lite. It’s evident that Nintendo and Sony continue to dominate the market, with Xbox falling behind in sales numbers.
