Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is currently one of the hottest games out there, a French RPG inspired by classic Japanese titles from the PS1 and PS2 era. With over 1 million units sold in just three days, this game is now available on Microsoft Gaming’s Game Pass since its release.
The Impact of Game Pass on Game Sales
This week, there has been a lot of buzz about the influence of Game Pass on game sales for Xbox platforms. While physical sales mostly belong to the PS5 version, a member of Pocketpair reassured players not to worry about it, as having the support of Microsoft is definitely worth it for game developers.
“Expedition 33 is the latest game to be dragged unwillingly into the gaming Twitter debate about the viability of Game Pass,” said the community manager at Pocketpair, the studio behind Palworld.
“Speaking from an indie perspective, we have released two games on Game Pass and we are very happy with the experience. So, all I can say is that I am pleased with the results we have seen so far.”
