The studio Void Interactive, the team behind the game Ready or Not, has addressed community concerns about visual changes made to the game, particularly regarding violent scenes. These changes were originally announced in order to ensure the game’s release on consoles, scheduled for July 15, with some adjustments also applied to the PC version. Despite player criticism and accusations of censorship, the studio has emphasized that the overall tone, atmosphere, and graphic impact of the game have been preserved, with blood and violence effects remaining unchanged. The modifications were solely made to comply with regulations from platforms, age rating organizations, and local laws. Six specific visual changes were outlined, such as altering a character’s expression and removing nudity, while the game continues to focus on hyper-realistic tactical gameplay.
