Xbox has announced a new initiative to support LGBTQIA+ communities, with a special focus on creators within these communities through Xbox Game Studios Publishing.
To showcase Pride in the diversity of its employees and creators in the industry, Xbox aims to become an example of how games bring together people with different individual stories and how greater representation can help people around the world.
Through a partnership with GLAAD, Xbox Game Studios Publishing will support LGBTQIA+ members in their own teams, in external studios of producers worldwide to help create the changes that will result in a better industry for everyone.
More stories, characters, and LGBTQIA+ experiences through video games, more diverse stories, better representation of minorities, and a strong demonstration of support for persecuted classes is what Xbox aims to achieve with this partnership.
Tell Me Why by Don’t Nod will be available for free again during the month of June and games curated by LGBTQIA+ communities will be featured for all players.
The partnership with GLAAD and Xbox will result in games with a special focus on LGBTQIA+ communities and better representation.
