The producer of Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio shared exciting news about the Yakuza series, now rebranded as Like a Dragon. This includes a new remake and updated versions of previous remakes.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Tides
The major announcement is Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Tides, a remake of the third game in the series, set to release on February 12, 2026, on various platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC for 59 euros. Along with the game remake, Kiwami 3 will feature Dark Ties, a new storyline centered on Yoshitaka Mine that can be played separately.
Yakuza Zero: Director’s Cut and Yakuza Kiwami
For fans craving more Yakuza content, Yakuza Zero: Director’s Cut will launch on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on December 8, following its exclusive release on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. On the same day in December, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will receive native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series, previously announced for Nintendo Switch 2 with a release date set for November 13. A physical and digital bundle featuring Yakuza Zero: Director’s Cut, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will also be available to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary.
